Senior Accountant

A well-established organization in Alberton is seeking a driven and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join their high-performing finance team in a fast-paced manufacturing/retail environment.

The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, managing month-end processes, and leading a small finance team.

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities:

Manage and oversee the full accounting function
Prepare and review monthly reconciliations (recons)
Lead and execute the month-end reporting process
Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
Supervise and support junior finance staff
Maintain and improve internal controls and processes

Job Experience and Skills Required:
Education:

BCom Degree in Accounting or related field (preferred)
Completed SAICA/SAIPA Articles (advantageous)

Experience:

Proven experience in a Senior Accountant or similar role
Strong management experience within a finance team
Industry experience in Manufacturing and/or Retail (non-negotiable)
Solid experience with reconciliations and month-end reporting

Skills:

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
High attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Strong communication and leadership abilities
