SUMMARY:

A well-established organisation based in Johannesburg is looking for a Senior Accountant to join their finance team. This role is ideal for a candidate with strong academic credentials and solid post-articles experience, looking to grow within a structured environment.

POSITION INFO:

Minimum Requirements

BCom Accounting degree (minimum)
CA(SA) or working towards CA(SA) advantageous
2–3 years post-articles experience (minimum)

Key Responsibilities

Preparation and review of financial statements
Monthly management accounts
General ledger reconciliations
Budgeting and forecasting support
VAT calculations and submissions
Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations
Assisting with audits and liaising with external auditors

Candidate Profile

Strong technical accounting knowledge
High attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Excellent communication and analytical skills
