SUMMARY:
A well-established hospitality and wine production business is seeking a commercially minded Senior Accountant with experience in production costing, complex stock management, and seasonal business cycles.

POSITION INFO:
Requirements: B.Com Accounting or CIMA. 5+ years' accounting experience in pref. FMCG manufacturing, agriculture, wine production, or similar environments. Strong cost accounting and stock management experience. Hospitality or tourism industry exposure a definite advantage. Knowledge of Microsoft Business Central beneficial. Understanding of excise regulations and liquor industry compliance. Advanced Excel skills. Key Responsibilities: Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, you will: Manage wine production costing from grape harvest through to finished product. Oversee complex stock control across vineyards, bulk wine storage, finished goods, and F&B operations. Monitor and analyse agricultural costs, including vineyard operations, harvest activities, and seasonal labour. Prepare accurate monthly management accounts and profitability reporting. Develop budgets and forecasts aligned with harvest cycles, tourism seasons, and vintage planning. Manage cash flow in a highly seasonal operating environment. Oversee revenue reporting across wine sales, hospitality operations, events, and food & beverage activities. Ensure compliance with excise duties, liquor licensing regulations, agricultural legislation, and audit requirements. Manage banking, debtor, and creditor functions. Coordinate annual audits and liaise with external auditors. Maintain strong financial controls and ensure regulatory compliance.
