Senior Actuarial Manager

SUMMARY:
A Consulting company is looking for a Senior Actuarial Manager to joining their dynamic and skilled consultancy team.

POSITION INFO:

Managing Delivery of Client Requirements

• Lead both client and internal Group projects to a high standard.
• Gather business requirements and present findings and recommended solution to the client alongside Client Service Director.
• Manage the day to day project activities and allocate project resources appropriately.
• Provide quality control of project deliverables completed by the consultants.
• Escalate project risk and issues to Client Service Director.
• Support the Account Directors in leading new business development activities, including actively establishing, maintaining and strengthening new and existing client relationships.
• Develop innovative solutions for clients and the Group.

Internal Contribution

• Develop profiles through client and industry activities.
• Contribute to thought leadership and strategic initiatives.
• Maintain a positive learning culture and take responsibility for developing the team by coaching other members of the team.
• Keep abreast with industry regulation and changes impacting our clients.

Managing Role

• Manage and develop direct reports.
• Complete and update development plans.
• Conduct regular 1:1s.
• Support HR Director in recruitment of candidates for service line.

• > 3 years’+ post qualification experience
• > 8 years’ experience in similar role within financial service sector companies.
• Lead concurrent actuarial projects within the life insurance sector.
• In depth knowledge of regulatory regimes including SAM/Solvency II and IFRS 17, with experience in valuation & reserving, capital and risk management and/or Asset Liability Matching.
• Experience and understanding of Actuarial Modelling and Model Development processes, systems and governance.
• Prophet or other model building experience
• Experience and/or understanding of Actuarial processes, systems and governance.
• Excel model building experience.
• Experience in managing and developing teams.

Commercial awareness with the ability to develop several technical areas and participate in research and development  areas
