Senior Actuarial Specialist

SUMMARY:

POSITION INFO:
This role offers exposure to innovative product development, pricing, structuring solutions, and strategic business initiatives within a dynamic and collaborative environment. Key Responsibilities: Lead pricing, product development, and structuring initiatives. Conduct rate reviews and repricing exercises. Assess and support the implementation of new insurance products. Develop and maintain actuarial pricing models and methodologies. Support business growth through the provision of actuarial insights and solutions. Analyse profitability and business performance trends. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on strategic projects. Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior team members. Minimum Requirements: Degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field. Associate Actuary qualification or significant progress towards Fellowship. Completion of relevant short-term insurance examinations. Minimum 5 years of actuarial experience within the insurance industry. Strong non-life insurance pricing experience. Experience in actuarial modelling and data analysis. Knowledge of capital management frameworks. Advanced Excel skills, with SQL experience preferred. Python or R experience would be advantageous. Ideal Candidate: The successful candidate will be a technically strong actuary with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. You should be commercially minded, innovative, and capable of translating complex actuarial concepts into practical business solutions.
