POSITION INFO:
SENIOR AGRONOMIST Our client is seeking an experienced, self-motivated and people-oriented Senior Agronomist to provide expert technical advice on crop production, soil management and agricultural practices in the North West Province! Location: Potchefstroom, North West Essential Qualifications: Agricultural Degree or Diploma in a relevant field (ESSENTIAL) 5+ years in an agronomist or similar agricultural role Key Responsibilities: Technical Support & Field Trials: Provide expert technical support on specific agricultural products Conduct and manage planting, harvesting, product trials and statistical analysis Work with local collaborators to evaluate new cultivars Analyse crop performance and provide technical guidance to improve yields Product Development & Research: Assist with evaluating and launching new agricultural products Support product development and research initiatives Evaluate new products and cultivars against performance standards Oversee field trials across various locations Farmer & Industry Engagement: Present products and findings at farmers'' days and study groups Provide technical guidance to farmers and agricultural teams Advise on crop production, soil management and agricultural best practices Travel to various farming operations as required
