SUMMARY:
An exciting opportunity has become available for a Senior Bookkeeper to join a fast-moving logistics company based in Johannesburg North. The client is looking for someone immediately available who can step into a high-volume environment and take full ownership of the bookkeeping function.

POSITION INFO:
Our client is a leading logistics and distribution business known for its efficiency, operational excellence, and commitment to delivering results. You will form part of a driven, hands-on finance team that supports critical business operations. This role calls for a proactive, detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can add value from day one.

Key Responsibilities:

Full bookkeeping function up to trial balance
Processing accounts payable and accounts receivable
Managing bank reconciliations, cashbook entries, and journal postings
Preparing and submitting VAT returns and assisting with SARS queries
Supporting month-end processes and assisting with management accounts
Maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with company procedures
Liaising with internal departments and external stakeholders to resolve finance-related queries

Job Experience & Skills Required:

Matric essential; a Bookkeeping or Accounting Diploma advantageous
Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role
Experience within the logistics, transport, or distribution sector preferred
Strong knowledge of general ledger, reconciliations, and VAT
Proficient in accounting systems such as Pastel, Sage, or QuickBooks
Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organisational skills
Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines
Immediate availability is essential
