SUMMARY:
The Senior Bookkeeper will be responsible for managing the full bookkeeping function across multiple accounts within Neo Brokers. Reporting to the Group Financial Manager, the role will support the accounting department through accurate financial reporting, reconciliations, statutory submissions, audit support, and maintaining compliance with financial and regulatory requirements.

POSITION INFO:
Key responsibilities include:

End-to-end bookkeeping across multiple client accounts
Preparation of monthly management accounts (income statements, balance sheets, cash flow reports)
Debtors, creditors, VAT, and general ledger reconciliations
Statutory submissions and compliance reporting
Assistance with internal and external audits
Maintenance of accurate and up-to-date financial records
Support of broader finance and reporting functions within the business

Required Proficiencies:

Strong knowledge of accounting principles and bookkeeping practices
Proficiency in Xero, Sage, SimplePay, SARS eFiling, and EasyFile
Strong Excel skills and financial reporting capability
Solid understanding of South African tax and statutory requirements
Ability to manage multiple accounts independently and accurately

Requirements:

Diploma, Degree, or relevant qualification in Accounting, Bookkeeping, or Finance
5–10 years’ experience in a bookkeeping or accounting role (preferably within a practice environment)
Proven experience managing multiple client or business accounts
Strong accuracy, attention to detail, and organisational skills
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication skills and professional working approach

Office position based in Cape Town - Century City.
