THE ROLE: SENIOR BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT EXECUTIVE (BDE) \/ BDR The Senior Business Development Executive will build and scale the lead generation function from the ground up. Currently, leads are generated through word-of-mouth, past customers, and internal executive connections. The role requires a commercially minded and strategic approach to identifying opportunities, starting conversations, building relationships, and creating a consistent flow of quality business opportunities rather than relying on generic email outreach or predefined scripts. You will own and shape the business development function, transition leads smoothly to the Business Development Manager and technical teams, and establish repeatable frameworks that will provide the foundation for building and leading a junior sales team in the future. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Design, execute, and refine a comprehensive lead generation and multi-channel prospecting strategy combining email campaigns, LinkedIn outreach, cold calling, networking, and targeted campaigns. Identify and target businesses requiring mobile signal boosting, enterprise WiFi, and complete connectivity solutions. Build and maintain strategic referral and channel partnerships with IT providers, telecoms companies, facilities management firms, construction businesses, and consultants. Conduct consultative discovery conversations with senior stakeholders and decision-makers to uncover customer needs rather than pitching off-the-shelf solutions. Establish structured sales nurture channels and customer relationship cadences to maintain long-term pipeline health. Maintain precise records and pipeline visibility within Zoho CRM. Collaborate closely with leadership, the Business Development Manager, and on-site engineers to ensure seamless opportunity progression. Produce actionable market reports, analyse campaign effectiveness, and provide strategic growth recommendations to executive leadership. ABOUT YOU Proven B2B business development and lead generation experience, specifically in building processes rather than only working within established ones. Ability to develop lead generation strategies and build processes from scratch rather than relying on predefined scripts. Demonstrated ability to build scalable outreach frameworks that can be replicated by future team members. Exceptional communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills, with confidence engaging business owners and executive decision-makers. Strong commercial acumen and natural curiosity to research markets, ask deep questions, and spot overlooked site opportunities. Experience using CRM systems, such as Zoho, to track sales pipelines, reporting, and lead nurturing cadences. Must be approachable, collaborative, and able to integrate seamlessly into team dynamics. Strong preference for experience within technology, telecommunications, networking, managed services, or enterprise IT connectivity solutions. PROBATION & TARGETS Permanent contract with a standard 3-month probation period. Probation may be extended to 6 months if progress is shown. No result or activity quotas are expected during the first 3 months. The initial 3-month period will focus on internal integration, relationship building, strategy development, and process creation. LEAVE & BENEFITS 21 annual leave days. 3 mandatory Christmas closure days, covering a full week off. Leave entitlement increases based on tenure after 3 and 5 years.
