Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

Roles and Responsibilities

• The Remote Senior Infrastructure Engineer (RSIE) will be a member of the Professional Services Team who is responsible for consulting, designing and implementing bespoke and templated technical solutions for customers.
• Reporting to the Head of Technology Consulting the RSIE will be required to act as a technical interface with clients and develop trusting relationships.
• Senior presence supported by the highest levels of professionalism, communication and presentation are imperative.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Network and Service Infrastructure design, implementation, and maintenance.
• Able to consult and act as an experienced and strategic Technical Manager for key customers.
• Build, configure, and administer physical and virtual servers from leading hardware vendors and virtualisation platforms such as VMware and Hyper-V.
• Implement, configure, and migrate to/from Cloud based solutions such as Office 365, G Suite, Egnyte, Dropbox, Box, Intune, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform, and AWS
• Implement, configure, and migrate to/from leading MDM solutions including MobileIron, Jamf, Intune, and AirWatch
• Configure enterprise networking devices such as switches, routers, and firewalls from leading manufacturers such as Meraki, Cisco, and Palo Alto.
• Prompt and accurate updating of project management systems and related documentation.
• Communication internally and with customers as required: keeping the necessary stakeholders and project managers updated on project progress and activity

Skills:

• At least two of the following qualifications: MCSA/MCSE, CCNA/CCNP, VCP.
• Experience designing/implementing both Azure IaaS and PaaS solutions
• A track record of having led large-scale, mission critical migrations to Azure.
• Consultant-level knowledge of Windows Server Operating Systems and management platforms including SCCM and Intune
• In depth understanding of the capabilities of Microsoft’s 365 offering, from the Office productivity suite, collaboration services, and security features
• Expertise must include architectural design, migration, management and supporting M365 implementation including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Intune, Teams, OneDrive for Business, and Azure AD
• Well versed in cloud-based file/content management applications and Collaboration ecosystems.
• Public and Private cloud computing platforms.
• Great understanding of Network design and configuration at all layers (Switches, routers, firewalls).
• Cyber-security awareness highly beneficial.
• Knowledge of server and network hardware.
• Demonstrable experience of the above.
