Our client, a prominent organization in the Western Cape, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Control System Engineer to lead innovative automation projects, enhance operational efficiency, and drive technological excellence. Where You'll Make an Impact: Design, develop, and implement PLC and SCADA control systems to meet operational requirements. Lead control system projects from conception through to commissioning, ensuring adherence to quality standards. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimise manufacturing processes and improve system reliability. Troubleshoot and resolve complex control system issues swiftly to minimise downtime. Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices in control system engineering. Duties: Develop and program PLC and SCADA systems tailored to FMCG manufacturing needs. Validate system functionalities through rigorous testing and commissioning. Document control system processes, configurations, and procedures. Maintain and upgrade existing control systems for improved performance. Support production teams with technical expertise and system troubleshooting. Requirements: Minimum of 6 years of experience in control system engineering. Proven expertise in PLC Programming and SCADA Programming. Strong understanding of automation technologies within the FMCG industry. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work effectively on-site and lead projects independently. Nice to Have: Experience with specific PLC brands and SCADA systems. Additional engineering or automation certifications.
