POSITION INFO:
Our client is one of the most respected names in the global gold mining industry, operating some of the most advanced and productive mining assets across multiple regions. With a legacy built on innovation, sustainable mining practices, and operational excellence, the organisation continues to set the benchmark for performance within the sector. Key Responsibilities: Lead the cost accounting function across mining operations. Manage and mentor junior finance and costing team members. Analyse operational and production costs and provide strategic recommendations. Prepare detailed cost reports, variance analyses, and profitability assessments. Drive budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning processes. Partner with operational management to improve efficiencies and cost controls. Monitor production performance against budgets and financial targets. Identify cost-saving opportunities and support continuous improvement initiatives. Oversee inventory, stock, and operational cost management. Job Experience and Skills Required: Education: BCom Accounting BCom Honours in Accounting CIMA qualification will be highly advantageous. Experience: 6-7 years' experience in Cost Accounting Mining industry experience is non-negotiable. 5 years management or team leadership experience is essential. Proven experience within operational finance, budgeting, forecasting, and cost analysis. Strong exposure to mining production costing and financial performance management. Apply now!
