POSITION INFO:

What You’ll Be Doing

• Engineer intelligent customer experiences using production-grade voice and text bots.
• Build custom NLP and NLU models that power real-time conversations and call QA systems.
• Deploy end-to-end AI pipelines for speech-to-text (STT), text-to-speech (TTS), and generative AI use cases.
• Innovate for inclusion—develop language models that give voice to low-resource African languages.
• Own the tech stack—from APIs and model deployment to cloud integrations across Azure and more.
• Stay cutting-edge with ongoing research in LLMs, speech analytics, and Responsible AI.

Your Toolkit

• Languages: Python (a must), SQL, R, or Java
• Frameworks & Tools: TensorFlow, PyTorch, Hugging Face, Git, Docker, REST APIs
• Tech Concepts: NLP, LLMs, STT/TTS, QA systems, MLOps
• Bonus Points:
  
  • Experience building bots in contact center or BPO environments
  • Knowledge of African language data models

Minimum Requirements

• Honours Degree in AI, Computer Science, Data Science, or similar (Master’s is a bonus)
• 2-4+ years of experience building AI/NLP/LLM systems
• Hands-on experience building bots, speech tools, or AI-powered engagement systems
