One of the leading providers of cell captive business and alternative risk transfer solution company in South Africa is looking for an innovative developer to join their brilliant team to integrate their knowledge and deliver the best solutions to the company.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Description:
The role requires an experienced individual, who will work with a creative and strategic team to develop and implement integrated and captivating experiences. The candidate will be expected to execute micro-services and solid security implementation.

Education:

BSc IT Degree/equivalent

Experience:

Exposure to the full software life cycle
Understanding of micro-services
Solid experience with REST services
4 - 6 year experience in Angular (Version 6 or higher), HTML, CSS, JavaScript
Solid experience with GIT, JIRA
Solid experience in n-tier architecture, service/object orientated design and implementation
Understanding of accounting principles will be highly beneficial
Azure Cloud experience will be beneficial
Solid experience with security implementation
Experience with Automated Build Tools

Responsibilities:
Development

Effectively investigate, develop and maintain the frontend’s of the company’s in-house systems against the industry standards and the client requirements as part of an Agile team
Develop software code complaint with the company’s technical and security standards, guidelines and best practices
Continuous system maintenance, bug fixes and enhancements as requested by the users
Understand and interpret complex technical system functionality and specification, with a special focus on the frontend and UX (User Experience) of the system

Testing

Test and debug between programs and interface between sub-systems
Assist the testing team with functional testing and create documentation like test plans, test scripts as necessary

Documentation

Support the capturing of user stories and develop the impact and technical analysis on UI (User Interface) and UX
Ensure that relevant knowledge of the system exist by developing on-going technical, user requirement and user manual documentation
Perform document reviews, requirements review and system functionality overviews

Planning

Contribute to Agile planning sessions and retrospectives
Participate in Agile Ceremonies – Daily standups/SCRUM sessions
