POSITION INFO:

The Ideal Candidate

• Must have a minimum of +/- 8- 10 years’ experience in Estimation.
• Must come from the construction industry. 
• Must have 2-3 years management experience
• Must have knowledge of CCS candy estimating software experience and other general computer programmes.

Duties include:

• Prepares engineering analysis of projects.
• Prepares estimates for management purposes of planning, organising, scheduling. and managing work
• Consults with clients, vendors, personnel in other departments to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues.
• Provide cost-effective tender pricing.
• Analyse drawings and any special requirements for the tender.
• Source’s quality and cost-effective materials and resources.
• Develops high quality and competitive tender submissions on time and accurately.
• Review material and labour requirements and provide cost effective materials.
• Prepare engineering analysis of projects.
• Obtain specialist quotations where required.
• Verify supplier and subcontractor quotations and/or qualifications.
• Assess individual billed items.
• Calculate all labour rates, materials and plant content.
• Conduct comparative analysis of material suppliers and sub-contractor quotations.
• Consult with other stakeholders regarding possible cost-effective solutions.
• Obtain feedback from site as to appropriateness of original estimates.

Qualifications

• Minimum Qualification – Related Construction Degree
