SUMMARY:
Our client, a well established electrical contractor who services the industrial, commercial and residential industry, requires a Senior Finance Manager to motivate and lead their finance team. The group has a centalised finance, debtors, creditors, HR, contracts and tenders function at their HO, located in Cape Town.

POSITION INFO:
Requirements:

CA(SA) or BComm articles
7 years post-article industry experience
4 years experience in the construction/contracting industry
Computer literate - full finance / payroll / network / BI Tools / cyber security
Self motivated
Problem solver

Duties include:

Detailed weekly, monthly, quarterly cash flow planning & management
Contract costing and profitability management
Ensuring all revenue is timeously billed and cash collected as due
Ensuring the costs per contract are accurate, reliable and provide early warning of losses
Ensuring that there are adequate banking facilities available to fund the business
Consolidated financial reporting (monthly / year end)
Profit control – monthly budget vs actual vs prior year variance reporting
Full Tax, VAT / EMP 201& 501 / dividends / Import duties / etc management
Foreign transaction / Forward cover / Excon management
Ensuring that all expenditure is minimised, authorised, received, allocated correctly
Oversee the debtor’s department, deal with credit problems, ensure cash collected when due
Ensuring the integrity of financial systems / data bases / financial & management reports / history
Ensuring adequate internal controls within the business
Keep Senior Managment Team regularly informed on business / finance / cash flow and contract issues
Ensuring that the standard operating procedures are simple / documented / relevant
Projects (Budgets / Insurance program / audits / bank facility / annual audits / etc)
