POSITION INFO:
A leading provider of integrated engineering, procurement, and construction management (EPCM) services is offering a permanent position for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Accountant CA(SA) . The ideal candidate will be a qualified CA(SA) with a strong accounting background, experience in project accounting, and a solid understanding of international accounting standards. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute significantly to the financial management of complex engineering projects while working closely with project managers, procurement teams, and finance leadership . If you are an experienced Accountant with strong analytical skills and a passion for financial excellence, this role is perfect for you. Duties: Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with IFRS\/GAAP. Manage general ledger (GL), reconciliations, and the financial close process. Ensure accurate tax compliance, including VAT, corporate tax, and withholding tax, and liaise with Auditors. Monitor project costs, track work-in-progress (WIP), revenue recognition, and project profitability. Collaborate with project managers to provide financial insights and ensure project expenditure is controlled. Assist with cash flow forecasting, working capital management, and multi-currency transactions. Ensure the timely processing of accounts payable and receivable, and manage billing cycles. Work with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle) to maintain accurate financial data and drive process improvements. Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning for projects and business operations. Provide support during audits, financial reviews, and regulatory inspections. Stay updated on changes in accounting standards, tax regulations, and EPCM industry practices. Qualifications & Skills: CA(SA) qualification is a must. Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, with a strong preference for experience in EPCM, construction, or engineering environments. In-depth understanding of project accounting, WIP reporting, and cost management. Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.) and advanced Excel skills.
