This is a role for an accountant who understands that numbers tell the story of manufacturing efficiency. You will move beyond reporting to see the direct impact of your analysis on production lines, strategic cost-saving initiatives, and key business decisions.

With a vast manufacturing footprint and a portfolio of renowned brands, they rely on a complex and efficient supply chain, powered by a finance function that drives cost control and profitability.

We are looking for a Senior Financial Accountant to step into a high-impact role where you will be the key financial authority for the business. You will provide the insights that shape our understanding of critical areas like raw material costs, inventory valuation, and production efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Own the integrity of the financial close process, including the preparation and review of complex financial statements.
Lead the analysis of manufacturing costs, identifying variances and providing actionable insights to optimize production efficiency.
Play a lead role in the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting cycles, challenging assumptions and modelling future scenarios.
Serve as the key finance partner to operational managers, translating financial data into strategic recommendations.
Drive continuous improvement in financial controls, reporting processes, and the utilization of the ERP system.
Mentor and provide guidance to junior members of the finance team.

Job Experience & Skills Required (Ideal Candidate Profile):

Completed BCom Honours in Accounting or equivalent.
CIMA qualification is essential.
A minimum of 5-7 years of relevant experience, with a significant portion within a manufacturing environment (packaging, FMCG, or related industry is highly preferred).
Proven expertise in a major ERP system (SAP, Oracle, JDE) and advanced Excel skills.
