Calling all newly qualified and developing CA(SA)s: Step out of public practice and take ownership of complex multi-currency consolidations and global group reporting for an international finance giant.

A premier, multinational market leader specializing in global tax compliance and cross-border transactional corporate finance is looking to appoint a technically elite Senior Accountant to join their centralized group finance division in Johannesburg.

This position serves as the ultimate corporate launchpad for a newly qualified or post-articles Chartered Accountant who wants to escape routine file-clearing and engage with sophisticated international accounting frameworks. The role exposes you to the upper tiers of corporate financial architecture, giving you direct visibility into cross-border corporate dynamics, multi-currency reporting packages, and group structures.

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities: Group Consolidations & Financial Statements: Lead the hands-on consolidation process across multiple international subsidiaries and divisions to compile and review pristine, audit-ready Annual Financial Statements (AFS). Multi-Currency & Cross-Border Ledger Control: Oversee complex multi-currency transaction accounting, tracking foreign exchange adjustments and maintaining absolute balance sheet integrity across global entities. Intercompany Account Reconciliation: Direct the meticulous balancing, reconciliation, and tracking of intricate intercompany loan accounts and transactional agreements across the group network. Corporate Reporting Packs: Formulate and package comprehensive financial reporting dossiers, ensuring smooth communication flows between regional divisions and executive head office leadership. Variance & Commercial Governance: Drive regular budget-versus-actual analysis to identify performance variances, while ensuring ironclad compliance with IFRS benchmarks and cross-border legal statutory requirements. Job Experience and Skills Required: CA(SA) Registration or Eligible, BCom Submission of complete academic transcripts (university records) and a Matric certificate is mandatory for vetting. Newly Qualified (NQ) up to 3 years of post-articles commercial experience. A robust training foundation from a reputable audit firm or commercial environment overrides specific sector background. Flawless understanding of IFRS compliance, advanced Microsoft Excel capabilities, sharp problem-solving logic, and the personal ambition and flexibility to potentially relocate to Mauritius in the future.
