SUMMARY:
Our client, a Proudly South African and long standing trading company, servicing the manufacturing, and mass-retail sectors of South Africa, Zimbabwe, Namibia, Botswana and Zambia, currently seeks a Senior Financial Accountant, to fill their 6 month maternity leave cover.

POSITION INFO:
Minimum Job Requirements:

Min B.Compt (Hons) with completed articles.
CA (SA) or CIMA preferred.
Min 8 to 10 years financial accounting experience in a medium sized company.
Forex and understanding the processes and regulations around FEC''s and foreign payment transactions for import and export.
Understanding of an Import/Export environment.
Advanced IT and relational database experience.
Advanced Excel skills.
Warehouse and logistics exposure.

Core Responsibilities:

Assist Financial Manager with day to day management of the Finance department.
Assist Financial Manager with roll-out of project plan as required
General ledger recons across all entities.
Review and sign-off of invoices, GRVs and payments for all entities.
Back-up for current Financial Accountant.
Update financial and cash flow models.

Process driven and sound understanding of internal controls and processes.
Energetic and positive about effecting change.
