JOB DESCRIPTION:

Job and Company description:

This is a wonderful opportunity for a Senior Financial Accountant to join a leading Financial Services company. The incumbent must come from one of the Big 4 Audit firms and must be well-versed with IFRS. It’s a remote position and therefore applicants must be able to think and work independently.

As Senior Financial Accountant you will be responsible for:

Gather and monitor financial data (e.g. sales revenues and liabilities)
Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual statements (balance sheets and income statements)
Forecast costs and revenues
Manage tax payments
Organize internal audits
Prepare budgets (for the entire company and by department)
Monitor and report on accounting discrepancies
Conduct detailed risk analyses to assess potential investments
Analyze financial trends
Perform month-end and year-end close processes

Job Experience and Skills Required:

CA(SA) with a minimum of 3 years post article
Financial services industry experience could be advantageous
IFRS
