POSITION INFO:
Are you a highly motivated and experienced Group Financial Reporting Accountant looking for an exciting opportunity to lead and drive the financial reporting process at one of our clients? Please apply today by sending your CV to

Duties:

Oversee and sign off group consolidations and reporting
Overseeing the monthly group consolidation and reporting
Presentation of group consolidated results to the group’s executive
Preparation of group reporting templates and coordinating quarterly, interim and year end reporting across the group.
Preparation of group consolidated financial statements for half year and full year results.
Preparation of technical accounting papers relating to group accounting issues;
Reviewing of technical accounting papers and opinions prepared by subsidiaries;
Review of and providing insights into the various aspects of group tax reporting;
Build, manage and motivate a high performing team.

Job Experience & Skills Required:

Qualifications:

Matric (Grade 12)
BCom / CTA
CA(SA)

Experience:

Completed Articles
6 - 8 years post articles experience (preferably in a fast-paced environment).
Proven experience in preparation of group consolidations, group technical accounting, reporting, and group taxation.
Proven experience in preparation of group consolidated AFS in line with IFRS.

Skills & Competencies:

Attention to detail and accuracy.
Sound IFRS knowledge (proven knowledge of IFRS 9 will be highly beneficial)
JSE reporting knowledge will be beneficial (SENS, Short form advert, assistance with investor relations presentations)
Strong reporting skills, with a focus on interdepartmental communication.
High integrity, principles and level-headed.
Able to work in a high-pressure environment and adhere to deadlines.
Team player.
Ability to take initiative and work with limited instructions / guidance.
