Senior Implementation Expert

SUMMARY:
Our client in the telecommunications sector is seeking a professional Senior Implementation Expert on a contract duration of 6 to 12 months. 


Role Purpose
The Managed Services Senior Implementation Expert leads the technical design, architecture validation, and operational readiness activities for complex managed services programmes delivered under a Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT) or long-term outsourcing model. Working on the client or programme management side not the vendor side this role ensures that the managed services platform, architecture, and operating model proposed by a delivery partner are fit for purpose, technically rigorous, and genuinely transferable to the client organisation at programme close. This is a practitioner role that combines deep technical domain knowledge across the full managed services stack Managed Network, Managed IT, Managed Cybersecurity, and Managed IoT with the commercial and operational experience to hold delivery partners accountable for what they commit. The successful candidate will have run managed services operationally, reviewed and rejected architecture proposals, and completed at least one BOT transfer cycle.

Technical Skills
Platforms & Tooling — Direct or evaluative experience required in the following

• NOC platforms: SolarWinds, PRTG, Zabbix, Nagios, or comparable enterprise monitoring stack
• ITSM: ServiceNow (preferred), JIRA Service Management, BMC Remedy, or equivalent
• RMM: ConnectWise Automate, NinjaRMM, Datto RMM, Kaseya, or equivalent
• SIEM / XDR: Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel, IBM QRadar, or comparable platform
• EDR: CrowdStrike, Microsoft Defender, SentinelOne, or comparable platform
• SD-WAN: Cisco Viptela, VMware VeloCloud, Fortinet Secure SD-WAN, or equivalent
• PAM: CyberArk, BeyondTrust, or equivalent
• Automation: Ansible, Terraform, Python scripting, or workflow automation platforms
• OSS/BSS integration: order management, provisioning flows, billing feed design, customer portal APIs

• This role evaluates, validates, and signs off. It does not execute delivery work, manage the client-vendor commercial relationship, or operate the managed services platform. Candidates who are primarily hands-on engineers, project administrators, or commercial negotiators rather than senior technical practitioners with domain authority are not a fit for this profile.

• Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or equivalent technical discipline
• 15+ years of professional experience in technology delivery; 10+ years in managed services

• ITIL Expert or ITIL 4 Managing Professional — demonstrates operational service management depth
• TM Forum Frameworx certifications — signals industry-standard architecture fluency
• Cisco, VMware, or Microsoft professional-level certifications relevant to managed network or managed IT domains
• PMP or equivalent programme management qualification — useful as a complement to the technical profile
