POSITION INFO:

    Location: Cape Town, South Africa

    Reports To: Design Director/CEO

    Role Overview:
    We are seeking an accomplished Senior Interior Designer with 8+ years hands-on experience in leading diverse commercial, retail, and/or residential design projects. Candidates must have verifiable project leadership experience and a proven technical skill set.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Lead design projects from concept to completion, including client presentations and detailed documentation.

    • Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and engineering professionals for project execution.

    • Mentor junior designers and contribute to technical upskilling of the team.

    • Ensure all projects meet timelines, budgets, and technical standards (including fire, eco, and electrical services).

    • Use Revit as primary design software; must be proficient.

    • Provide references and testimonials from previous team members and clients.

    • Present strong portfolio demonstrating both creative and technical (infrastructure/building) expertise.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelors degree in Interior Design or related field.

    • Minimum 8 years experience in interior design (5-10+ years considered if experience is especially strong; must demonstrate leadership).

    • Advanced proficiency in Revit (required), as well as CAD, SketchUp, Adobe, Canva.

    • Demonstrated ability to coordinate multi-disciplinary project teams and deliver projects to spec.

    • Experience with commercial/retail projects preferred.

    • Excellent technical and project management skills.

    Salary: CIS role, approx. R35,000 per month after tax (DOE)
