SUMMARY:
My client that is one of the market leaders in the financially sector is looking for an out of the box thinker for a Senior Java Developer position that recently open for one of their divisions. This position will come with diverse opportunities, a work life balance and its fully remotely.

POSITION INFO:

Description:

To provide IT expertise, advice and leadership in the design, creation, testing and documentation of new and enhanced applications and systems in accordance with agreed framework of programming standards. To assist in the development of IT operational implementation plans and associated IT processes, methods and techniques.

Education:

Minimum: B. Comm, B. Eng., BSC Eng, BSC Informatics or related degree.
5years + experience in programming and system design.
Familiar with one or more programming languages as appropriate for the specific requirements of the department related to the field.

System Design experience advantageous

Skills:

Identify and analyse user requirements
Prioritize, assign, and execute tasks throughout the software development life cycle
Develop Java EE applications
Write well-designed, efficient code
Review, test, and debug team members’ code
Design database architecture
Schedule product releases with internal teams
Document development phases
Ensure our applications are secure and up to date
Object Oriented Programming

JPA (Hibernate)
java web services: REST (JAX-RS) and SOAP (JAX-WS) - optional
