Senior Manager Pricing & Analytics

As they grow on the continent they are seeking to appoint a SENIOR MANAGER PRICING AND ANALYTICS within the Strategy division.

POSITION INFO:

The Senior Manager Pricing and Analytics is responsible for long-term pricing, profitability, product management and planning across the company’s suite of products. The function enables effective decision making to ensure long term growth and profitability.
 
Key responsibilities include:

• Leading the Pricing Analytics team to provide pricing and analytical capabilities across the suite of products and various customer segments.
• Understand the end-to-end customer value chain to identify opportunities to improve the profitability of the product offering through risk-based selection and /or product rationalization/design.
• Contribute to strategies and related processes to continuously grow the target market/s.
• Drive the development and implementation of a pricing strategy and model that integrates all product sets and is aligned to a go to market plan.
• Actively drive the implementation of pricing frameworks, governance and strategy.
• Provide profit margin analysis, breaking down products into various components of income, direct expenses, distribution costs, overheads and management costs.
• Adopt a data driven approach to provide the business with customer and competitor intelligence in order to enhance decision-making as well as to serve as input into financial models and business cases.
• Build models to test changes to existing products as well and potential new products.
• Design, implement and maintain pricing systems and other tools.
• Apply advances actuarial/statistical techniques in analysing pricing data.
• Assist the Chief Product Officer with building the product pricing roadmap to grow product adoption and usage.
• Support the Sales and Product Heads to manage the P&L by analysing the base and identify levers to increase revenue or identify revenue leakages.

• Relevant post graduate BCom degree (Finance/Accounting) or Actuarial /quantitative qualification.
• 7+ years’ experience in pricing manager role /pricing environment
• 5+ years relevant experience at mid management level
• Proficient with computing for analysis and modelling, creative thinking, economic, and analytical skills
• Able to influence and interact at senior management level
