JOB DESCRIPTION:

The successful incumbent will form part of the Agri Procurement team, who is responsible for the Agri Supply Chain of the Group.

Key Performance AREAS

Develop category strategies with the High Impact Team (HIT)
Lead the cross-functional High Impact Team (HIT) for the packing material category of the group
Support and monitor the effective execution of the category strategies
Ensure governance excellence in the category management environment (including the establishment and ongoing management of supply agreements / contracts)
Implement and maintain Strategic Pricing Planning / Central Pricing Management for packing material
Measure Packing Material supplier performance and drive continuous improvement
Establish & maintain strategic supplier relationships with Packing Material suppliers
Strategic negotiations with suppliers
Gather market intelligence by scanning the Packing Material environment to keep abreast of new industry approaches & market developments in order to enhance category strategies

MINIMUM Requirements

Applicable Bachelors-degree or equivalent qualification
8-10 years’ senior management experience in a procurement / agri-environment
Thorough understanding of the dynamics of packing material
Good interpersonal, relationship building and negotiation skills
Excellent computer skills (especially Microsoft Excel)
Willing to travel when necessary and to work long hours during peak periods
