Senior Manual Software Tester
Location: Cape Town, Currently remote

We are a full-stack workforce that functions within an agile environment. Within our structured process, we take care of conceiving, specifying, designing, programming, documenting, testing, bug fixing, creating and maintaining applications and frameworks.
This position is a great opportunity for a skilled Software Tester looking to grow their industry experience, skills and career in an agile software development environment. We are looking for a committed person, who loves finding and fixing bugs and who is prepared to roll up their sleeves and do what it takes to take our products from inception through to delivery.  The successful candidate, will work in a close-knit testing team, perform QA related activities for incoming requests and projects. This includes creation, execution and maintenance of manual tests. In addition, the candidate will report on the status of tests in the development and production environments.

We are currently working remotely, until it is safe for our employees to return to work. The successful candidate will be virtually onboarded for now.

POSITION INFO:
Essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Test planning and design of test scenarios
• Test case preparation, documentation, reviews and maintenance
• Manual execution of testing scenarios for both web and mobile
• Provide estimates for test effort
• Detection, logging and tracking of defects through to completion
• Test reporting throughout test environments
• Provide regular feedback to developers and stakeholders
• Attend daily stand-ups and provide testing progress

• Related IT degree, diploma or qualification
• ISTQB certified (at least foundation level)
• Minimum 5 year’s experience as a Software Tester
• Knowledge of test management tools (i.e. Testlink)
• Knowledge and experience in an agile practice will be advantageous
• Experience in working with enterprise systems
• SQL experience is beneficial
• Experience with SDLC processes and process improvement
• Passion for software testing and the SDLC
• Api (REST) testing experience is beneficial
• Good communication skills
• Attention to detail
• Ability to function well in a busy demanding environment
• Ability to multi-task

• Ability to program highly beneficial
• Programmatic automation highly beneficial (selenium, nightwatch)
• Experience in working in angular / javascript and PHP based environments
• Experience with test automation frameworks, related libraries and tools
