Job & Company Description:

This renowned company that prides themselves in providing solutions to the mining and metals industry is searching for a passionate Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team. This company designs and develops technology equipment and thereafter offers their services to their clients in the metal and mining industry. The desired candidate is someone who has technology equipment design experience (preferably furnaces) and has experience manufacturing and commissioning the equipment that has been designed.

Education:

BEng/BSc/BTech in Mechanical Engineering
ECSA Pr Eng (advantageous)

Job Experience & Skills Required:

Must have at least 7 years of experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer
Must have 5 years of experience working with furnaces (preferably submerged furnaces) and smelting
Must have experience commissioning a plant
Must understand the equipment so as to design and commission it
Experience with AutoCAD/Inventor/Vault/Navisworks
Experience with FEA and CFD modelling (advantageous)
