Our client in the Food and Beverage Industry is seeking a Senior Payment Officer to join their team based in Centurion. The Senior Payment Officer is responsible for maintaining the corporate payment database managing bank beneficiary profiles, and executing all domestic and international payments. This is a critical risk-management role focused on ensuring absolute financial accuracy, enforcing internal controls, mitigating fraud, and maintaining efficient cash flow and corporate banking operations.

Required Qualifications & Working Experience:

Bachelors Degree or National Diploma in Finance, Accounting, Baking or Business Administration
5 + years of dedicated experience in payments, accounts payable or cash management
Direct, proven experience handling international foreign exchange (Forex) payments
High proficiency in major corporate internet banking platforms (e.g., FNB Online, Standard Bank Business, Nedbank Corporate and ABSA Access)
Proven experience using SAP ERP or similar

POSITION INFO:
Duties & Responsibilities: Beneficiary & Data Security Management: Securely load, update, and maintain corporate beneficiary profiles across online banking platforms while ensuring strict compliance Load domestic corporate EFTs, inter-account transfers, and international foreign exchange (Forex) transactions Independently verify banking details against verified records to prevent administrative errors and combat financial fraud Payment Verification & Audit Control: Investigate and resolve invoicing discrepancies or missing documentation prior to payment releases Thoroughly audit payment packs from all operational departments for mathematical accuracy, authorization workflows, and complete supporting documentation Banking, Cash Management & Loan Administration: Access online corporate banking portals to monitor daily bank balances and report cash positions Monitor, verify, and process scheduled loan repayments in alignment with interest rates and amortization schedules Ensure operational accounts are adequately funded for scheduled payment releases while optimizing surplus cash for interest earnings Process & Workflow Optimisation: Continuously refine, maintain, and enforce payment workflow controls to enhance turnaround times and data security
