Senior Planner

SUMMARY:
Our client is currently recruiting for a Senior Planner on a contract basis with extensive experience in the mining and minerals industry on large capital projects, including projects in remote locations and other countries, third world countries.

POSITION INFO:
Main Responsibilities: Provide positive and demonstrated leadership on HSSE & QA issues within your area of operation. Read, understand and implement the HSSE & QA policies, procedures and Beyond Zero programme. Promote an enthusiastic HSSE & QA culture that delivers positive commitment to and engages all employees in continuous improvement in business performance. Monitor personnel under your area of control comply with their individual responsibilities to HSSE & QA matters. Demonstrate on-going commitment to all relevant QA requirements as published to the organizations Integrated Quality Management System. Respond and commit to partaking in audits, and responding with relevant corrective action. Demonstrate commitment in resolving HSSE & QA non-conformances. Actively role model and promote the company Values, Ethics and Code of Business Conduct. Qualifications: PMI SP (Scheduling Professional) AACE PSP (Planning and Scheduling Professional) Desirable: PMI PMP (Project Management Professional) CAPM (Certified Associate in Project Management) Knowledge, skills, and experience: Experience in mineral\/metals\/mining greenfield and brownfield would be beneficial. Expert knowledge of and competence in the use of Primavera P6 and MS Project Expert knowledge of MS Office Project planning experience in multi-discipline mining and minerals processing projects and studies Site planning experience in multi-discipline mining and minerals processing projects and studies EPC \/ EPCM experience in either a consulting or construction contractor environment 8 - 12 years' relevant experience considered essential to meet the demands of this position.
