Duties: Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to develop accurate demand forecasts for products and materials. Analyze historical sales data, market trends, customer demand patterns, lead times, and manufacturing minimum order quantities (MOQs) to inform forecasting models. Adjust procurement plans based on demand fluctuations to optimize inventory levels and reduce stockouts or excess stock. Monitor inventory levels of finished products to ensure alignment with demand forecasts and production schedules. Identify potential inventory shortages or surpluses and communicate with stakeholders to address discrepancies. Coordinate with suppliers to place orders, expedite deliveries, and manage lead times, ensuring timely receipt of goods while minimizing excess inventory. Maintain regular communication with suppliers regarding order status, manufacturing dates, dispatch schedules, and import documentation for customs. Resolve supply chain disruptions, manage logistics, and coordinate with freight forwarders and customs brokers to ensure smooth import processes. Collaborate closely with internal teams and warehouse staff to ensure stock is received on time with proper documentation. Build and maintain strong supplier relationships, tracking performance metrics like on-time manufacturing and dispatch. Drive continuous improvement initiatives within procurement processes, demand forecasting, and inventory management. Ensure compliance with import, customs, and transportation requirements, maintaining accurate records of supplier communications. Requirements: Matric with higher grade Maths and Accounting. Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, or related field. 3-5 years of supply chain\/procurement experience, preferably within an FMCG environment. Proven experience in procurement, demand planning, and inventory management. Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel. Strong management skills and the ability to work cross-functionally. Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities. Nice to Have: Experience in import\/export and logistics coordination. Knowledge of supply chain analytics and supplier performance metrics.
