Overview

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities Lead projects end-to-end: concept development, approvals, execution, and commissioning support Own project schedules, milestones, risks, and critical path delivery Manage environmental approvals, EIAs, rezoning, waste licences, water use licences, and regulatory engagement Drive commercial negotiations and execution for: Feedstock agreements Offtake agreements Equipment procurement EPC and O&M contracts Coordinate and manage engineers, consultants, contractors, regulators, investors, and strategic partners Maintain strong oversight across all project phases with exceptional attention to detail Ensure projects move rapidly from development into construction-ready execution Requirements Engineering degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Process Engineering, or related field Minimum 8 years' experience delivering complex industrial, infrastructure, energy, or process projects Strong understanding of South African permitting, environmental approvals, and EIAs Proven ability to operate independently and drive delivery under pressure Strong commercial and contract negotiation skills Experience in pyrolysis, biofuels, waste-to-energy, recycling, chemical processing, or related industries advantageous Exposure to ESG frameworks, traceability systems, or carbon markets beneficial Strong leadership presence with a hands-on execution mindset What We Offer High-autonomy role with meaningful decision-making power Opportunity to help scale impactful infrastructure projects that reduce pollution and create jobs Fast-moving, execution-focused culture Backed project pipeline with funded sites and growing commercial momentum Opportunity to work on industry-defining projects with long-term growth potential Execution matters here.
