Senior Project Management Engineer (PrEng) - Renewable Energy Sector

This Innovative and Dynamic Energy Solutions Company is looking for an experienced, hands on, Senior Project Manager Engineer (PrEng) to join their team within the Solar/Renewables Industry.

Minimum requirements:

• Must have a completed degree in Electrical/Mechatronics/Elec Mech Engineering (PrEng Required)
• 5-7 years project management experience (experience within renewable energy sector is preferred)
• Must have experience in industrial/design engineering
• Fluent in English (verbal & written) and preferably another SA Language (Afrikaans/Xhosa)
• Be a multitasker with attention to detail whilst remaining focussed on an array of simultaneous projects
• Own vehicle and Drivers Licence
• Must be flexible regarding travelling requirements (Nationally/After Hours and Emergencies)

Key Performance Areas and Responsibilities will entail:

• As a key senior team member, focus attention on a broad range of responsibilities and delegate effectively where necessary
• Management of the installation and office project management team
• Manage long and short-term projects
• Compile and present progress reporting on various projects
• Work with Senior Management to identify optimum strategy for each development opportunity and individual project to ensure maximum returns
• Ensure completion of several projects within a short time period though effective time management strategies
• Responsible for management of all projects and associated budgets
• Ensure effective communication and relationship building with all internal/external stakeholders (Clients, Landowners, partners, stakeholders, and project team)
• Secure all third-party consents necessary to build and operate projects
• Build strong working relationships (internally and externally)
• Ensure effective sub-contractor management
• Undertake critical reviews of third-party reports
• Ensure communication updates to line manager
• Develop, implement, and streamline internal processes and procedures
