SUMMARY:

We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Quantitative Analyst with deep expertise in unsecured lending and overdraft products within a banking environment.

POSITION INFO:

Senior Quantitative Analyst – Unsecured Lending & Overdrafts

This role is suited for a seasoned quantitative professional who can lead complex analytical work, influence credit strategy, and deliver robust, regulator-ready models.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain advanced credit risk models for unsecured lending and overdraft portfolios (PD, LGD, EAD, scorecards).
Provide expert quantitative insight to support credit decisioning, portfolio optimization, and risk appetite setting.
Lead model performance monitoring, validation support, and remediation activities.
Translate complex analytical outcomes into clear business recommendations for senior stakeholders.
Ensure full compliance with regulatory and governance standards (e.g. IFRS 9, Basel, internal model risk frameworks).
Collaborate with credit, finance, and technology teams to embed models into production and decision systems.
Act as a subject matter expert and mentor to junior analysts.

Required Experience & Skills:

Extensive experience (8+ years) as a quantitative analyst within a banking environment.
Proven, hands-on expertise in unsecured lending and overdraft products.
Strong background in credit risk modelling, statistical analysis, and predictive analytics.
Advanced proficiency in SAS, SQL, Python, or R.
Deep understanding of the end-to-end credit lifecycle and banking risk frameworks.
Ability to operate at expert level, with minimal supervision, in a high-impact role.
