Senior Service Technician

SUMMARY:
Purpose of the role:
The role of senior service technician involved the installation, maintenance & servicing of end-of-line packaging machinery, for food and beverage companies.

POSITION INFO:
Position: Senior Service Technician
Location: Gauteng / JHB/ Jet Park
Salary: Salary market related


Qualifications:

• National Senior Certificate
• Minimum required qualification: Electrician/Millwright (Trade Tested)

• 8 - 10 years’ experience working on packaging equipment(end-of-line) machinery, in a food and beverage environment.(FMCG)
• Have strong electrical experience.
• Excellent computer skills,
• Excellent with customers and maintaining customer relationships with interpersonal and communication skills.
• Working under pressure and respond quickly to customer requests.
• Fluent in English and Afrikaans.
• Flexible and willing to work longer hours when required.
• Willing to travel.
• Driver’s license.

• Installation & commissioning of end-of-line packaging equipment.
• Repairs, maintenance & fault-finding on equipment.
• Manage all maintenance parts.
• Deal directly with overseas suppliers &communicating directly with customers.
• Provide training for technicians & staff in customer’s factories.
• Travel to customer sites for installations, maintenance, and breakdowns.
• Audit equipment.
