POSITION INFO:
A salon in Somerset West is reopening and is looking for an experienced Senior Somatologist to take a leading role within the salon. This position is suited to a confident and experienced therapist who can take ownership, lead by example and make decisions independently . The successful candidate will play an important role in the success and growth of the salon and should be comfortable taking responsibility for the day-to-day running of the team when the owner is not present. Key Responsibilities Perform advanced beauty and aesthetic treatments Conduct client consultations and recommend appropriate treatments Maintain a high standard of client service Lead and support the salon team Take responsibility for day-to-day decisions within the salon Assist with growing and retaining the client base Encourage a positive and productive team environment Promote treatments and services Maintain professional treatment and hygiene standards Take ownership of the salon's performance and client experience Required Skills & Experience Relevant Somatology \/ Beauty Therapy qualification Solid experience in a professional salon environment Advanced facial experience Dermaplaning Microneedling Laser hair removal Experience with advanced aesthetic treatments Strong communication skills Previous leadership \/ supervisory experience advantageous Ability to make decisions independently Strong client relationship-building ability Candidate Profile The ideal candidate will be: Confident and mature A natural leader Highly reliable and responsible An excellent communicator Self-motivated and proactive Comfortable taking ownership Passionate about client service and salon success Able to work independently when required An existing client base would be advantageous.
