To develop, produce and deliver regular and ad hoc management information to aid in Operational business decision making associated with service delivery processes, methods and techniques

POSITION INFO:

Duties & Responsibilities

To design and deliver specialist reporting through building automated models/reports and dashboards that will support the Operations management decision making process.
Provide various operational data analytics and reporting input that may be required for strategic decision-making purposes and other requirements associated with managing the Operations team.
Work with Operations management in determining MI and Reporting requirements for detailed, accurate and consistent monthly reporting, including exception reporting, month end operational reports, daily, weekly & monthly key performance indicators and capacity reporting.
Apply relevant research methodologies, tools and techniques to effectively and purposefully gather information.
Analyse data, interpret information, and produce detailed reports explaining trends, discrepancies, inconsistencies and share results for the purpose of improving business processes.
Communicate the results of data analysis in written and verbal form to Operations managers.
Regularly examine data reports to locate and resolve mistakes throughout.
Monitor data to identify changes in financial and business trends.
Extract, interrogate and interpret MI for users of information to add value to decision making.
Work with the Program teams in determining Operational MI and Reporting requirements for new features being developed.
Work closely with the IT MI data analytics team to ensure high quality business, client and adviser reporting is delivered.
Be the key contact point for all Operational MI & reporting related queries.

Desired Experience & Qualification

Minimum 3 - 5 years’ in a Financial Adviser firm, Financial Services Customer Service or an Investment Platform business.
3+ years’ experience with data and/or systems analysis experience, at least some within a formal BI environment
Relevant Commerce degree in IT, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Investment Management or Business Management.
Higher grade maths (or equivalent) passed with a B average.
Professionally Qualified & experienced Specialists/Mid-Management
Understanding of Business Operation and Governance, in particular reference to Operational MI & Reporting, Project Management methodologies and QA standards
Experience in SQL and other data analysis programs
Ability to use SQL and Microsoft Excel to create pivot tables, graphs and charts
Familiar with Agile project methodology and JIRA Service Desk processes.
Proven ability in analytics, business acumen and presenting/communicating recommendations across all organization levels
Real-world understanding of data processing and storage
Experience with reporting and business intelligence software such as ClickSense, Power BI
