SUMMARY:
We are currently recruiting on behalf of a client seeking a Senior Specialist: Regulatory Affairs and Compliance to play a critical role in ensuring adherence to evolving financial regulations.

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a client seeking a Senior Specialist: Regulatory Affairs and Compliance to play a critical role in ensuring adherence to evolving financial regulations. In this position, you will be responsible for guiding regulatory change and compliance efforts across a dynamic, forward-thinking organisation.

Key responsibilities include maintaining relationships with key financial regulators, coordinating statutory engagements, and providing essential insights into regulatory developments that affect the business. You will be tasked with overseeing regulatory submissions, preparing the business for regulatory engagements, and working alongside the Senior Manager to mitigate regulatory risks. In addition, you will support various internal functions to ensure that key regulations are consistently met, whilst also assisting with lobbying activities and the collation of data trends to influence business strategies.

Requirements:

A Post Graduate Diploma in Compliance (preferred)
Admitted attorney qualification
At least 7 years’ relevant experience, ideally within the financial services industry
A deep understanding of the Twin Peaks model of financial sector regulation
Experience with FAIS licensing and legal entity reporting
Expertise in managing regulatory risk and compliance matters
