POSITION INFO:

Our client based in Epping, manufacturing company is looking for a well experienced Senior Storeman to join their team.

Key Performance Areas

Responsible for ensuring stock of maintenance spares & consumables are available
Checking stock & reconcile on computer
Utilise daily reporting and procurement tools, to assist in efficient procurement and adequate stock levels are maintained
Follow up on spares orders on daily basis
Manage promised dates and service delivery

Issue goods as per requisition
Check and record coal and starch stock on a daily basis
Receiving goods on daily basis – ensuring that correct goods are supplied
Responsible for quick turnaround on endorsed delivery documents
Be part of implementation team and subsequent maintenance of scanning of goods when receipting and issuing in stores
Conduct monthly stock takes and weekly cycle counts
Ensure communication is accurate and there is an efficient interchange of information, especially between shift handovers
Follow company procedures for procurement of supplies
Ensure stores are always secure on your shift
To do receipting and issuing on JDE, subject to strict 24h turnaround
Labelling of bins for new stock items
Maintaining locations on JDE, assist in developing Bin Location mapping database
Responsible for tasks and staff in stores in absence of supervisor
Responsible for tasks of storemen, in absence of storemen

Requirements

Ability to work under pressure and deal with conflict successfully
Strict adherence to company policy and procedures
Attention to detail is an important aspect of this position
Strong Computer skills essential e.g., Word, Excel spreadsheets, JDE
Forklift / Clamp license or ability to be trained
Numeracy skills essential
Excellent organization skills
