Senior Structural Engineer

SUMMARY:
An exciting 4-month contract opportunity is available for a Senior Structural Engineer to join an established EPCM environment. This senior-level position is suited to an experienced structural engineer with strong mining, heavy infrastructure and multidisciplinary project experience, looking to take ownership of complex structural design deliverables.

POSITION INFO:
Job Description Lead structural design for mining, process plant and industrial infrastructure Deliver and review engineering calculations, drawings, specifications and technical documentation Design and review reinforced concrete structures, including foundations, pump stations and tanks Design and review structural steel structures for ventilation ducting, underground support sets and maintenance platforms Coordinate structural designs with multidisciplinary engineering teams Support procurement through technical scopes, tenders and vendor evaluations Provide construction support, including contractor reviews, site queries and inspections Skills & Experience 15+ years' structural engineering experience, ideally within mining or heavy infrastructure Proven experience delivering projects within an EPCM environment Strong experience in reinforced concrete design, including foundations, pump stations and tanks Strong structural steel design experience, including ventilation ducting, underground support sets and maintenance platforms Advanced knowledge of Robot, Revit, Civil 3D and Navisworks Strong leadership, technical writing, problem-solving and multidisciplinary coordination skills Qualifications BSc, BEng or BTech in Structural Engineering ECSA Pr.Eng registration with a minimum of 3 years' post-registration experience Only South African Residents or individuals with a relevant South African work permit will be considered.
