Leading Multi-disciplinary consulting engineer firm have an opportunity for a Professional Senior Structural Engineer to lead the structural engineering teams involved with the engineering design and optimization of complex building structures.

Requirements:

Professionally registered with ECSA
BSc Civil Engineering degree with 15 plus years experience in structural engineering design and project management
Be committed to your own professional development and involved in the mentoring and development of junior staff.
Have a wealth of relevant experience in Structural Engineering and a broad range of hands on experience of different structural forms, construction materials, design stages and project sectors.
Be conversant with Eurocode and leading industry analysis and design software.
Have experience leading teams on multi-disciplinary projects and working as part of a larger team, with good awareness of engineering design beyond your own discipline.

Job description:

Leading the structural engineering teams involved with the engineering design and optimization of complex building structures.
Working as part of multi-disciplinary project teams involved in the design and procurement of building projects.
Contributing across multiple projects with different design teams
Liaising with the client and other external team members
Working closely with designers of other disciplines to produce co-ordinated designs.
Leading the production of models, drawings, reports and specifications to budgets and deadlines
Analysing, designing, specification and report writing.
Supervising and coordinating the work of others, including other disciplines and in-house specialists
Supporting the performance, work and development of less experienced members of the team, providing technical guidance, training, motivational and directional feedback.
Taking responsibility for projects and teams from inception to completion, achieving outstanding results both technically and commercially.
Developing trusted relationships with clients and collaborators on your projects and participating in work to win new clients and projects.
Undertaking project and team administration duties including planning and monitoring the time of others
