SUMMARY:
Datacentrix Cape Town has a permanent vacancy for a Senior Support Engineer to provide Virtualisation infrastructure support. Minimum of 7 to 10 year's experience supporting Datacentre software in a senior position. Ability to identify and understand problems, and find suitable solutions. Conscious of delivering solutions on time. Ability to clearly articulate problems and solutions with the technical team.

POSITION INFO:
Primary Role Accountabilities

- VMware support specialist
- Proactive analysis of system health with in depth reporting
- Preventitive maintenance
- Architect new solutions
- Assist with escalations from 2nd line support engineers
- Technologies include (but not limited to)
o Virtualisation: VMware vSphere, MS Hyper-V, Nutanix AHV, Linux KVM
o SRM with:
âª Storage replication
âª vVols
âª vRep
o vRealize Operations
o Veeam backup and replication

Skills, Experience & Qualifications

Matric Qualification
VCTA-DCV 2024
MCSE, with 70-703, 70-745 or similar
Extensive experience supporting Microsoft Exchange 2010 or higher
Experience supporting Active Directory and HyperV
Minimum 5 years Experience supporting SCCM and Exposure to OS Deployment
