JOB SUMMARY:
Datacentrix's offices in PE are looking for a Senior Support Engineer to provide cloud infrastructure, datacenter software and end user computing support. Must have patch management experience as well as experience in Cloud Services: Azure, AWS, Google cloud, VMware vSphere, MS Hyper-V, Nutanix AHV, Citrix Virtualisation, Backups in Veeam, Backup Exec and Monitoring in N-Central, SCOM, PRTG, WhatsUp, Solarwinds, Nagios, Quest.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Requirements:

Grade 12 and relevant IT Qualification
Minimum 10 years’ experience supporting ITC environments
Certification in MCSE, VCP, CCE, HPE (DC) (end User), DELL (DC) (end user), VMWare, VEAAM
Server Support experience in the following technologies:
- Cloud Services: Azure, AWS, Google cloud
- Virtualisation: VMware vSphere, MS Hyper-V, Nutanix AHV
- Citrix Virtualisation
- Application Delivery Controllers: F5, Citrix, FortiADC
- Operating Systems: All Microsoft & Linux
- MS infrastructure: Active Director, Exchange, SQL, SCCM
- Backups: Veeam, Backup Exec
- Monitoring: N-Central, SCOM, PRTG, WhatsUp, Solarwinds, Nagios, Quest
- Antivirus: McAfee, ESET, Symantec, Kaspersky

Overall Responsibilities:

Assist with escalations from 2nd line support engineers
Provide 3rd line datacentre software support
Preventative maintenance (Patch management)
Remediate issues identified by audit and monthly reporting
Technologies include (but not limited to)
Cloud Services: Azure, AWS, Google cloud
Virtualisation: VMware vSphere, MS Hyper-V, Nutanix AHV
Citrix Virtualisation
Application Delivery Controllers: F5, Citrix, FortiADC
Operating Systems: All Microsoft & Linux
MS infrastructure: Active Director, Exchange, SQL, SCCM
Backups: Veeam, Backup Exec
Monitoring: N-Central, SCOM, PRTG, WhatsUp, Solarwinds, Nagios, Quest
