  The Role:

  We are looking for a motivated and skilled IT professional to oversee all operations and maintenance of the organisations IT systems, while ensuring exceptional system uptime and operational efficiencies. 

  Duties Responsibilities

  • Maintain high levels of network and server availability.
  • Install, manage and maintain all server infrastructure.
  • Install, manage and maintain LAN and WAN infrastructure.
  • Ensure all IT systems perform within predefined standards.
  • Architect and implement new technologies in the organisation.
  • IT project implementation and delivery.
  • Ensure data protection and recovery capabilities are in working order.
  • Provide Tier 3 support on-site and remote support.
  • Assist in the organization and inventory of all hardware and software resources.
  • Maintain communication with the IT Manager on all tasks and projects.
  • Create and maintain thorough technical documentation.
  • Provide emergency on-call support on a rotating schedule.
  • Ensure IT security policies and best practices are employed.
  • Ensuring all software is properly licensed and up to date.
  • Maintain the organisations Disaster Recovery plan.
  • Manage and maintain assets and services in Microsoft Azure.
  • Manage and maintain Office 365 tenant.
  • Vendor liaison and management.
  Skills and Experience:

  Qualifications Skills

  • Grade 12.
  • The following certifications would benefit the candidate
    • MCSE or MCSA
    • Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
    • Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert
    • Veeam Availability Suite: Configuration and Management
  • At least 10 yearsâ?? experience in senior positions.
  • In depth understanding and experience with the following virtualisation technologies:
    • Hyper-V.
  • In depth understanding and experience with Microsoft products:
    • MS Active directory.
    • MS Exchange Server.
    • All Microsoft operating systems, desktop and server.
    • Microsoft Office and Office 365.
    • Microsoft Azure
  • In depth understanding and experience with TCP networking:
    • IP addressing
    • Routing
    • Switch maintenance and configuration
    • LAN WAN administration
  • Experience working with Veeam Backup and Replication.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Remote Desktop Services
  • Experience working with Symantec Endpoint protection.
  • Experience working with Dell hardware.
  • Experience working with Cisco network devices.
  • Experience configuring and maintaining firewalls.

    • Auditing access levels
