SUMMARY:
Our external client in the Financial Services industry is looking for a Senior Test Analyst with some Automation experience to join their Testing CoE. Candidates need to have 3+ years' experience as a Test Analyst and at least 2 years' doing Web Automation testing (Selenium preferred)

POSITION INFO:

Education and Experience

Relevant knowledge of testing methodologies
3+ years’ experience as a Test Analyst
Knowledge of at least one test tool
Sound knowledge of various technologies (JAVA, C# advantage)
Knowledge of Test Automation tools (Selenium experience will be advantage)
Completed Matric
Relevant Information Technology Qualification
Qualification in testing (ISTQB) at least ISTQB Foundation
At Least 2+ years’ experience in a Technical Testing space with focus in Web Automation

Key performance areas

Provide feedback into Functional Specification

Provide input into test documentation

Identify and define the test requirements by analysing functional and non-functional requirements

Extract testable requirements

Define the test techniques to be used to create the test cases

Create the appropriate test cases for the test requirements and any associated test data and test procedures

Maintain traceability from requirements to test cases

Review test cases and requirements

Analysis of maintenance task

Implementing and executing prescribed test cases

Execution of Change controls

Log test results

Report and log defects

Ensure test data is correct and usable and create test data where necessary

Execution of maintenance tasks

Designing, developing, and executing tests in a custom development environment in line with agreed plans and strategies

Structure the tasks defined in the test strategy in terms of technical requirements

Analyse the internal structure of the system in sufficient detail to meet the expected quality

Evaluate the system in terms of non-functional attributes, e.g. performance and reliability

Prepare and execute the appropriate activities, and report on their progress

Conduct technical testing activities

Provide the necessary evidence to support evaluations

Implement the necessary tools and techniques to achieve the defined goals

Must know manual as well as automated testing process.

Working with the automation framework and automation tools to ensure that the shared object repository is always up to date

Executing the automated regression test pack and reporting the results

Maintaining and troubleshooting the automated regression test pack ongoing.

Collaborating with various stakeholders for the purposes of defects root cause analysis and issue conclusion

Should have analytical and adaptive abilities
