SUMMARY:
We are sourcing for a Server Engineer (Intermediate) role.

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities: Install, configure, administer, and maintain Windows and Linux server environments. Manage physical and virtual servers using platforms such as VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V, or equivalent virtualization technologies. Monitor server performance, capacity, availability, and health, proactively resolving issues. Administer Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, file services, and print services. Perform server patching, operating system upgrades, and routine maintenance activities. Manage backup, restore, replication, and disaster recovery processes to ensure business continuity. Implement and maintain server security controls, endpoint protection, and access management. Support storage infrastructure, including SAN, NAS, and shared storage solutions. Troubleshoot and resolve server hardware, operating system, virtualization, and application issues. Assist with server migrations, infrastructure upgrades, and modernization initiatives. Develop and maintain server documentation, configuration records, and operational procedures. Collaborate with network, cloud, security, and application teams to deliver reliable infrastructure services. Ensure compliance with organizational ICT policies, security standards, and regulatory requirements. Qualifications and Experience: Diploma in IT or Certificate (NQF 5) or equivalent Microsoft Certified: Windows Server \/ CompTIA Server+. 3-5 years of experience in server administration or infrastructure engineering. Hands-on experience administering Microsoft Windows Server and Linux operating systems. Experience with virtualization platforms such as VMware vSphere or Microsoft Hyper-V. Experience with Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, Microsoft 365, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy. Knowledge of backup and recovery solutions, storage technologies, and disaster recovery practices.
