The Role:

We are looking for an experienced Service Delivery Manager for a Fixed Term Contract with our client in Rustenburg in the North West Province.  

 

Primary responsibility to execute all operational disciplines to ensure that all IT services are delivered efficiently and effectively for the Group.

These services span across infrastructure, networking, security, printing, telephony and service desk.

 

IT infrastructure refers to the composite hardware, software, network resources and services required for the existence, operation and management of an enterprise IT environment.

 

Minimum educational level:

  • Relevant B Degree or equivalent (NQF 6) qualification essential
  • ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) certificate with a formal project management qualification will be a definite advantage

 

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum 5 yearsâ?? experience in managing a medium to large information technology infrastructure required.
  • Minimum of 5 years management experience in successfully leading an infrastructure team required.
  • Exceptional knowledge of service and application delivery, as well as successful service level agreement accomplishments.
  • Experience in interpreting the applicability of local laws / regulations (including data privacy practices and laws) to company operations.
  • Have adequate exposure to ITIL and project management (e.g. Agile, PMBok) methodologies.
  • IT Security standards (ISO27001/2) implementation will be an advantage.
  • Ability to perform general mathematical calculations for the purpose of creating needs assessments, budgets and forecasting.
  • Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment and make sound decisions in emergency situations.
  • An understanding of good governance, ethics and project managing skills.
  • A good understanding of the organisationâ??s goals and objectives.
  • Strong interpersonal, problem solving and communication skills required.
Skills and Experience:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:   

  • Responsible for client satisfaction by ensuring that services are delivered according to agreed Service Level Agreements (SLA) and other contractual obligations.
  • Chair the Operational review meetings, including the distribution of meeting minutes and action registers.
  • Instigate improvements within the service improvement plan and work closely with the relevant vendors to ensure the implementation of the actions agreed upon in accordance with the operational and SLA requirements.           
  • Assure quality of IT Service delivery from vendors.
  • Conduit between business and IT Service providers to ensure that business needs are clearly articulated and agreed changes to systems carried out.
  • Communication to all stakeholders and managing the suppliers to ensure timely solutions and negotiations to secure IT products and services
  • License Renewals related to IT Infrastructure services.
  • Ensure that hardware end of life forecasts is in place.
  • Project management â?? Network Infrastructure, End User computing, Manage Print Services
  • Hardware asset and e-waste disposal life cycle management.
  • Responsible for Internal customer service and act as the point of escalation for the client in certain circumstances.
  • Ensuring a co-ordinated delivery of service across the regions.
  • Day to day Operation Management:
    • Hosting Services
    • Network Services Security
    • End user computing
    • Facility Management
  • Ensure that Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality compliance is maintained and compliance with Company procedures and legal obligations are met.
  • Allocate HSE responsibilities and duties to onsite personnel.
  • Oversee and ensure that HSE-related documents are kept up to date and undertake Senior Manager site inspections, ensuring that audits and reports are produced, liaising with the necessary parties.
