We are looking for a ServiceNow Developer to join our financial services client based in Sandton for a 12-month contract role.
The ServiceNow Technical Developer will be responsible for the implementation, configuration, and enhancement of the ServiceNow Operational Health and Safety (OHS) module, with a strong focus on digitising and automating workplace health and safety processes. The successful candidate will design and develop solutions that streamline workplace inspections, audits, compliance documentation, and contractor safety file management while collaborating closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to deliver scalable and user-friendly ServiceNow solutions.
POSITION INFO:
What you will be doing: Design, develop, configure, and implement solutions within the ServiceNow Operational Health and Safety (OHS) module. Digitise and automate workplace inspection and audit processes to improve operational efficiency and compliance. Develop and configure digital inspection checklists, safety registers, appointment letters, certificates, and other OHS documentation. Build and enhance workflows that support Occupational Health and Safety processes and regulatory compliance. Design and implement a secure digital platform that enables contractors to upload safety files for review and approval. Configure workflows that facilitate the review, approval, and management of contractor safety documentation by OHS specialists. Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into scalable ServiceNow solutions. Configure forms, workflows, business rules, notifications, and automation to support business processes. Perform system testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and production deployments. Produce high-quality technical documentation, solution designs, and user guides. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues while providing ongoing platform support and optimisation. Ensure solutions align with ServiceNow best practices, governance standards, and enterprise architecture. Participate in Agile ceremonies, solution planning, and continuous improvement initiatives. Provide technical guidance and knowledge transfer to business users and project teams. What we are looking for: Relevant tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Proven experience as a ServiceNow Technical Developer or ServiceNow Consultant. Hands-on experience implementing, configuring, and supporting the ServiceNow Operational Health and Safety (OHS) module. Experience digitising and automating workplace inspections, audits, and compliance processes. Strong understanding of Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) business processes and compliance requirements. Experience designing and implementing workflow automation, forms, business rules, and approvals within ServiceNow. Experience developing digital solutions for contractor onboarding, document management, or safety file approval processes. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. Experience working with Agile delivery methodologies and cross-functional teams. Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and documentation skills.
