Their Actuarial division plays a central role in driving profitability, innovation, and strategy - and they’re looking for a dynamic Actuarial Manager to lead a team of Analysts who don’t just crunch numbers, but craft solutions.

POSITION INFO:
In this role you’ll take charge of an established team, refine models that guide executive decision-making, and build future leaders. You’ll have the autonomy to implement your own ideas and the backing of senior management to make things happen.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and mentor a team of Actuarial Analysts, fostering technical excellence and career development.
Oversee the design, implementation, and monitoring of actuarial models for short-term insurance products.
Analyze data from multiple sources to identify business trends, opportunities, and risks.
Collaborate cross-functionally to translate modelling insights into actionable business strategies.
Ensure that all actuarial work aligns with professional standards, internal governance, and regulatory frameworks.

Job Experience and Skills Required:

Bachelor’s or Honours Degree in Actuarial Science or similar.
Qualified or making good progress towards actuarial qualification.
Minimum 3 years actuarial experience within a short-term insurance environment, plus at least 1 year in a management or team leadership role.
Advanced Microsoft Office and actuarial/statistical software (e.g. SQL, R, Python, and SAS).
Strong data analysis, model development, and reporting capability.
Exceptional stakeholder communication and presentation skills.
Excellent numerical reasoning and analytical thinking.
